Compressed Nebulizer Use and Maintenance Guide

2025-08-01

1.How to Use a Compressed Nebulizer

Preparing the Nebulizer

Equipment Inspection:

Confirm that all nebulizer components (main unit, nebulizer cup, mask/mouthpiece, and tubing) are intact and clean.

Ensure the power adapter is compatible to avoid voltage mismatches and damage.

Medication Preparation:

Add medication as directed by your doctor (usually 2-6 mL), avoiding exceeding the maximum volume on the nebulizer cup.

Do not use oily medications, syrups, or medications not specifically designed for nebulization (as they may damage the device or pose a health risk).

Assembling the Nebulizer Cup:

Pour medication into the nebulizer cup.

Connect the mouthpiece (or mask) and nebulizer cup.

Connect the tubing to the nebulizer cup and main unit.

Operating Procedures

Starting the Nebulizer:

Connect the power cord, press the on/off button, and observe whether the nebulizer cup produces a uniform mist.

If the mist is weak or intermittent, check the tubing for bends or blockages.

Inhaled Drugs:

Adults/Children (Cooperating): Hold the drug in the mouthpiece and breathe slowly and deeply (avoid rapid gasping).

Infants/Uncooperative Individuals: Use a mask that fits snugly over the mouth and nose to prevent air leaks.

Nebulization Time: Generally 5-15 minutes, until the drug solution is exhausted (no visible liquid in the nebulizer cup).

End of Operation:

Turn off the power and unplug the device.

Remove the nebulizer cup, discard any remaining drug solution, and immediately clean it (to prevent drug crystallization and blockage).

2. Daily Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning After Each Use

Disassembly: Separate the nebulizer cup, mouthpiece/mask, and catheter (if removable).

Warm Water Rinse: Rinse all components with running purified water to remove any drug residue.

Drying: Place on a clean paper towel or in a well-ventilated area to dry naturally, avoiding direct sunlight.

Note:

Do not use hot water (>40°C) to rinse, as this may cause deformation.

The main unit is strictly prohibited from being washed! Wipe the surface with a damp cloth only.

Regular Disinfection (once a week)

Boiling Disinfection: Boil high-temperature resistant parts (such as the silicone mask) in boiling water for 5 minutes (please consult the user manual for confirmation).

Disinfectant Soaking: Soak in 75% alcohol or a dedicated disinfectant for 5-10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Long-Term Storage:

After complete drying, place the device in a dust bag and store in a cool, dry place.

Power the device on once a month (idling for 1-2 minutes) to prevent the motor from moisture and aging.

3. Precautions

Safe Use:

Keep the device steady during atomization to avoid tipping.

Children require adult supervision to prevent the mouthpiece/mask from falling off and affecting efficacy.

Contraindications:

Do not mix medications (e.g., antibiotics and hormones) unless directed by a doctor.

Replacement Frequency:

It is recommended that consumables such as the nebulizer cup and catheter be replaced every 3-6 months (depending on frequency of use).
