Incentive Spirometer RJ-601B

Assemble Incentive exerciser as follow

1. Remove parts from package.

2. Attach free end of tubing to stem at front side of exerciser.

Note: Before and after each use, rinse only the mouthpiece with warm water and shake it dry. Avoid soaking the exerciser itself because this may increase the bacterial growth and weaken the effectiveness of the internal filter in preventing inhalation of extraneous material.

How to use

1. Hold or stand exerciser in an upright position the way up helps to maximize your efforts.

2. Exhale normally.

3. Then place lips tightly around mouthpiece.

4. INHALE-Inhale slowly to raise the piston in the chamber.When inhaling maintain top of the ball in the “smile" height range.

5. Continue inhaling and try to raise piston to prescribed level.

When inhalation is complete, remove mouthpiece from mouth, hold breath as prescribed, and exhale normally.

Allow piston to return to bottom of chamber, rest and repeat exercise.

6. Repeat these steps for a total of 10 times every hour or as directed by your doctor. If you start to feel lightheaded or dizzy, slow down your breathing and give yourself more time between deep breaths.

Frequency of use and recommended inspiratory volumes should be performed at the direction of your physician.
